The campus construction race is on! Owner and contractor controlled insurance programs are neck and neck! In this session, a university’s director of capital projects,[ a risk manager], a construction insurance consultant, a casualty underwriter and a broker will examine the pros and cons of each. Particular attention will be given to the budget and reconciliation conundrum given the long term nature of both OCIPs and CCIPs.
Learning Objectives:
 Know how to evaluate the feasibility of an OCIP or
CCIP proposal as well as understand the different
roles/responsibilities the institution has under the two
scenarios..
 Be given tools to reconcile financial impact of overall
program on an ongoing basis as well as final.
 Be given tools to work with individual Project
managers in the context of a multi‐project, multi‐year
program
