Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

The increase in internationalization efforts is a challenge for higher education globally. This challenge often blurs the line of accountability, legal environment differences and partnerships that create contractual agreements which challenge all parties. This session will discuss those challenges, especially focused on enforcement of insurance and indemnification clauses that are part of your contracts. Also how your institution manages protection if involved with international internships or humanitarian relief trips.
Learning Objectives:
 Gain insight from Canada, UK and Africa regarding contractual issues
 Learn best practices utilized to protect a program on international shores
 Better understand perspective from several countries about how to resolve contractual concerns
