(CE) Risk & Insurance in Higher Ed Contracts

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

Reviewing a contract from a risk management perspective should include the entire contract, not only the insurance clause. In fact, a contract can include over twenty contract clauses that directly or indirectly address insurance and risk. Every risk manager should know how to identify and amend all of these clauses to provide the maximum protection for their institution. In addition, testimony will be given on how one institution includes the risk manager in its contract review process and saves money.
Learning Objectives:
 Learn which contract clauses directly or indirectly
address insurance and risk.
 Learn how to amend contract clauses directly or
indirectly, address insurance and risk.
 Learn the costs benefits of including the risk manager
in the contract review process.
