Sandy Serbalik is director of risk analysis and project management at Siena College, where she has worked for over 14 years. She earned a B.B.A. from St. Bonaventure University and an MS from the College of St. Rose. Her responsibilities include serving as a finance and administration liaison with students, and she is proactively involved in areas of best practices in higher education, retention, safety, compliance, emergency preparedness, response, and communication, including training and business continuity planning. She has been a member of URMIA since 2006 and is currently co-chair of the membership committee. She is also invlolved with the New York Capital Region Association of Contingency Planners (ACP), and the Town of Clifton Park Citizens Emergency Response Team (CERT). She collaborates with local emergency planners, campus individuals, and colleagues at other institutions in support of a comprehensive and best practice approach to emergency and business continuity planning and response, including the use of tabletop and other exercises.
